The Colbert Report and Google Business View
Just in time for the last episode (aired last week) of the beloved The Colbert Report, Google secured a Business View Tour, highlighting a brand-new virtual tour of the studio.  Additionally for the Colbert "Super fans" out there, the show created an interactive experience with the Business View imagery that lets the viewer explore and remember some of their favorite moments from the show. In case you are interested, this is the Full Episode of last night's show.
Business View was featured in the following mainstream media!
-
The Verge: “Tonight is the final night for Stephen Colbert’s political satire The Colbert Report. Fortunately, his iconic New York City studio has been preserved with the help of Google’s Street View tech for businesses, aka, Business View. So why not take a tour before it’s torn down?”
-
TIME: “Even though The Colbert Report is ending its run Thursday, the show’s set will live on through Google Maps. The entire iconic stage is rendered in 3D through Google’s service (though sadly, Colbert himself isn’t present).”
Working with the Google Maps marketing team, Google also promoted across Google Maps social channels (Google+, Twitter, FB). And our @Google social team also promoted across their channels as well (Google+, Twitter, FB). Fans of truthiness unite!
